Publishing Site Tutorial Video
I made many tutorial videos for my blog professional development course. This is one video that I have also isolated as a separate quick tutorial. Sometimes my clients just need a quick overview on how to publish their teaching blogs, so I will provide them with this video. Over the years, I have become adept at storyboarding and creating information screencasts and videos. I use them frequently in educational lessons as well as tutorials and professional development. Many people learn best when they can watch someone perform a task, so I like to include brief videos for those visual learners.

Process
- This was one of the first screen recordings that I made for my blog professional development course. Many teachers were hesitant to publish their site and were confused by what the different publishing options meant, so I created this video to show how to do it as well as how easy it is to publish and fix mistakes.
- Before I could record, I walked myself through the steps numerous times to ensure that I was clearly describing and demonstrating the process.
- As I walked through the steps, I wrote a detailed script for not only what to say but also when to click and demonstrate parts of the process.
- I recorded using my home set up of a gaming headset. It took a few passes before I was able to record a video where I was pleased with the sound recording, but I also edited the sound further for clarity.
- I have updated the video over the years based on feedback and questions from clients as well as due to changes to the way that Google Sites publishes content.
