Blog Content Decision Maker
The biggest problem I observed in my clients was that teachers were feeling overwhelmed at how to create a teaching blog from scratch. The amount of content required by administration coupled with an unfamiliarity with technology was daunting to so many of my clients. My background in English Education came in handy here. I have a lot of tools for organizing and figuring out how to organize writing, so I used some of these principles to create a decision maker. This decision maker is included in my full blog design professional development course as well as offered as a standalone project. It depends on the needs of my clients whether they purchase the entire course or just this standalone project.

Process
- I used my professional knowledge, spoke with administrators, and did some research in order to narrow down the most commonly requested areas of content for teaching blogs.
- After narrowing down the most commonly used content areas, I drafted ideas for how to best help clients organize these content areas to meet their needs
- I eventually decided on a drag and drop decision maker that allows clients to manipulate the organization in a visual way. This allows them to review their decisions and easily make changes to the order until they find something they are comfortable with using to move on to blog creation
- I couple this decision maker with a consultant option to help clients build a tangible plan for how they want this content to appear on their blogs
- Additionally, I have paper guides to help clients with planning as well as tutorial videos and visual blog examples
